Objective:

26th June is celebrated through out the world as the “International Day against Drugs and Illicit Trafficking” Established by the United Nation General Assembly in 1987, this day serves as a strong reminder of the goals agreed upon by the members states for developing an international society free of drug abuse and exploit.

  • To highlight the problems of drugs addiction in the society
  • To create awareness among youth especially college students through education, lectures programmes etc
  • To provide the basic information through awareness against use of narcotics
  • To build a better image of Pakistan through different activities
  • To highlight the role of media regarding drug demand reduction activities
  • Green Ribbon Campaign against Drugs

Exhibition for Women Entrepreneur Hand Embellished Product
Venue: Sukh Chain Club Lahore
Type of Activity: Stall

An exhibition was held in Lahore for home based women workers with the co-operation of “MEDA” under the Karvaan Foundation. In which handmade dresses by women and different handmade articles were exhibited. DEEP Foundation also took part in the exhibition and placed a stall there which is greatly appreciated by the people. People from different part of life shown great interest in DEEP Foundation’s achievements, they got annual report, newsletter, and brouchers, to get more knowledge about DEEP Foundation. In this exhibition, “Miss Fazila Bano” from “MEDA” and “Miss Julie Delahanty” from “CIDA” admired the work of DEEP Foundation. They said DEEP Foundation is playing a great role to crush the usury system in the society. DEEP Foundation is an Islamic micro finance institution, which is working in Pakistan from May 2010. DEEP Foundation is providing interest free Islamic business facilities to the people. DEEP Foundation is working in Tehsil Sharaqpur of Punjab Province of Pakistan. Deep is providing the facility of “MURABAHA” (TRADE FINANCE).

To celebrate women international day by organizing rally, festival and aware women from their rights in society

Rally

Rally started from DEEP Foundation Branch and ended at Chota adda in which all the staff of the DEEP Foundation participated along with its members and a large number of women from area. Women raised different banners on which different slogans were written as “women right is equal to that of men “on chotta adda a camp & festival was organized.

Address

When rally passed from chota adda, DEEP Foundation team, Media persons and women were welcomed heatedly and chairman and chief executive of DEEP Foundation addressed that women of today are so much aware that they can fight for getting their rights. They also said that main aim of DEEP Foundation of giving the service of Murabaha (Trade Finance) is to make women an honorable citizen of nation. Women also have main place in nation and society needs them in all sectors.
